Ward, Richard.

London: Printed and sold by Joseph Downing 1710. Old ink signature, a few old marginal ink marks, later armorial bookplate. A very good copy. Contemporary panelled calf, neatly rebacked and recornered. Octavo. [24], 362, [4, index], [ (Item ID: 7611)

The standard early biography of Henry More, the great Cambridge Platonist, whose works were admired by students as diverse as Wesley and Coleridge.

Although a large number of copies of this book exist in institutional libraries, a surprising number of copies, including all three of the British Library copies, lack the portrait frontispiece.
