Scarce book by the French computer pioneer. Couffignal (1902-1966) did fundamental work in punch-cardcalculating technology as early as 1930, and in 1936 argued the utility of representing numbers by binary notation. His 1938 thesis, discussion the design of binary electrical computers, helped to simplify their construction. All of his books are scarce.
