Edward Doro (1909-1987) was a North Dakota-born poet. He was a recipient of the Guggenheim Fellowship (1936) and the Russell Loines Award for Poetry (1939). The present work contains twenty of Doro’s poems and sonnets, including “the Hippogryff,” “Mountain Nocturne, Retold,” and “Open Letter for John Doe.
