The present work consists of a volume of commentary on the Grammatica del Donato and the Liber Iesus, and two facsimiles of those manuscripts, the originals having been produced in late fifteenth century Italy. Both were created for the "Renaissance education" of Maximilian Sforza (1493-1530), the Duke of Milan and eldest son of Ludovico Sforza (1452-1508), who ruled from 1512-1515. Both manuscripts are housed in the Biblioteca Trivulziana
