The Philippe d'Orléans (1674-1723) plates originally appeared in 1718. Another edition appeared in 1731, in which the plates may or may not have been reengraved. Ray in his Art of the French Illustrated Book discusses the 1745 edition, which appeared in two formats, a small quarto and an octavo format. Ray says the plates were reengraved for the small quarto format, in order to provide an improved setting for the Regent's plates. He does not say whether the plates were reengraved for the octavo edition. Also, Ray describes twenty-eight plates (thirteen folding), rather than the twenty-five here, but only five vignettes, where our copy has eight. The 1718, 1731 and 1745 editions are all uncommon.
