“Miss Greenaway's correspondence, autobiographical notes, her records, and several firsthand recollections of friends and acquaintances were admirably compiled and documented in that volume. No new biography could possibly be attempted without reference to it” (Brian Home, Kate Greenaway Book, 1976).
