Byron’s (1788-1824) Hebrew Melodies was published in the same year his daughter Ada was born. It is a collection of short poems, mostly on scriptual subjects, though it also contains love songs. It contains the first appearance of “She Walks in Beauty” and “The Destruction of Sennacherib.”.
