The present work documents the travels of Anne Davies, Eve Sims, and Antonia Deacock (the author)—three British women who formed the 1958 Women’s Overland Himalya Expedition. Travelling from London to India via car, the explorers then trekked 300 miles from Manali to Ladakh and traverssed the Baralacha La pass in the Zanskar mountain range, christening a virgin peak (Biwi Giri or “Wives’ Peak”) in the process.
