OCLC describes the present book as an “unathorized translation” of Smattingarnas Svampbok (1900) by the Swedish writer and illustrator Signe Aspelin (1881-1961), though Mushroom Fairies itself does not mention Aspelin or even that it is a translation. A search for more information on this topic proved inconclusive.
Adah Louise Sutton Saalfield (1860-1935) was a children’s book author who, under the name Louise A. Field, wrote stories continuing Beatrix Potter’s Peter Rabbit series. Only one copy noted in OCLC.
