Alice Moore Hubbard (1861-1915) was a suffragist, writer, and a leading figure in the Roycroft Movement. She met Elbert Hubbard while he was still married and they had a controversial affair. Alice marched in the first Washington D.C. suffragist parade on March 3rd, 1913. While on a voyage to Europe, she and Elbert died in the sinking of the RMS Lusitania. Life Lessons features essays about Susan B. Anthony, Mary Wollstonecraft, Frederich Froebel, David Swing, Robert Louis Stevenson, Henry D. Thoreau, and Elizabeth Cady Stanton.
