Albert Kretschmer (1825-1891) was a German professor, painter, costumes researcher and chairman of the German theatre, Schauspielhaus Berlin (currently the site of Konzerthaus Berlin). He is known for his detailed drawings, watercolor paintings, and lithographs and their appearance in German publications. He was also a costume designer.
