Edgard Pillet (1912-1996) was known for his paintings and sculptures. He served as secretary general La revue d'avant-garde Art d'Aujourd'hui and founder with Jean Dewasne of l'Atelier d'Art Abstrait in Paris. He was the winner of le prix de la Jeune Peinture in 1948 and of la Critique à Bruxelles in 1953. He taught at the University of Louisville and the Art Institute of Chicago.
