Cravan (1887-1918) was a larger-than-life idol of the Dada movement. Aside from his influential journal, which extended to five issues (1912-1915), he was known for his self-proclaimed family relation to Oscar Wilde (who had married his father’s sister) a boxing match with Jack Johnson, and several other daredevil stunts.
