Zaragoza: Imprenta de Calisto Arinno, 1884-7. Revised (and best) edition of this study of Aragonese authors by Felix Latassa y Ortin (1733-1803). Originally published in 1796-1802, the original edition was deemed hard to use because it lacked a general index. The present edition rectifies that. Spine faded. A very good copy. With the bookplate of librarian/bookseller Joseph Rubinstein. Full Spanish mottled green leather over green cloth boards, gilt spine. Three volumes, large octavo. xxxv, 662 pp; xviii, 614 pp; 443 pp. Item #15025
Latassa was a student of philosophy and theology at the University of Zargoza, receiving his doctorate in 1762. He took holy orders and served as pastor at the church of Azanuy (Huesca). The present work incorporates his findings while doing extensive research at a number of obscure monastic libraries.
