Boullier (1699-1759) was a Dutch Protestant theologian. A student of Locke and Pascal, he wrote several works refuting the philosophes. Perhaps his best known book is Essai philosophique sur l’ame des betes ou l’on traite de son existence & de sa nature (1728). He died in London.
