New York: Red Angel Press, 1988. One of 100 copies, numbered and signed by Keller. A color woodcut by Ronald Keller Keller unfolds to thirty-eight inches wide and surrounds the 11-page text (8 1/2 x 7 1/2). Printed in black, blue and green. As new. Full green cloth. Quarto (9 x 15”). Item #12300
The text is a philosophical analysis of a New England seaport viewed from a church steeple. In the woodcut, the viewer shares Hawthorne’s perspective—from the top of the steeple. The viewer can then read Hawthorne’s words while sharing his view. An innovative production and one of our favorite recent fine press publications.
