Autograph letter signed, one page, octavo, dated “Jan. 10. 1991, on stationery of the Philosophy Department of Harvard University. Quine responds who a correspondent who has asked about obtaining a copy of A System of Logistic, the philosopher’s first book. Quine replies that he has talked to his publisher and “…the best he could suggest was to go to a good dealer in used books in Los Angeles and have him advertise for a copy. I wish I had a spare for you.”
A very good copy, with the original envelope and a photocopy of the recipient’s original letter. A nice, personal letter to a reader of his work, who was otherwise unknown to Quine.
